Streets, Light, and Shadow

I'm a self-taught street photographer based just outside Philadelphia, shooting on weekends whenever I can get out with a camera. My work spans Philadelphia, New York, and Europe. I shoot mostly in black and white, because that is where I feel most at home.

[All Work] includes everything: digital and film, color and black and white. The film comes from a Leica IIIf. Everything else has been shot on a mix of legacy digital cameras: Nikon D700, Nikon Z5, Fujifilm XE-3, and Leica M240.

The [blog] is where I write about what I see, and about the process of learning as I go.

Outside of photography, I read and learn about the Civil War, and I like to see as much of the world as I can. So far, that's taken me to Austria, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, and Switzerland.
